What is the problem with promise of

high school?

Why does high school need to change?

High school as we know it was designed more than 100 years ago. But the world – and our children’s educational needs – have changed. These resources offer a glimpse at ways that high schools can evolve to become equitable, joyful centers of learning for all students.

Of course, there is no silver bullet. No single practice, model, or policy can ensure a high school’s success. High schools need to rethink their practices based on equity, rigor, and how students actually learn. It’s only through this holistic redesign that all high schools can meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all their students.
